MBTA Green Line Extension (GLX) OCS Project

The Green Line Extension (GLX) project will extend the existing MBTA Green Line north from Lechmere Station to further service in Somerville, Cambridge, and Medford. The Medford Branch is scheduled for completion in May of 2022. After a thorough approval drawing process, MAC manufactured complete OCS assemblies and commenced shipments in June 2020. As the project installation progresses, MAC remains very much involved. Field conditions often involve re-engineering of assemblies, and additional materials. MAC provides engineering and on-site support associated with these changes. Revenue service is expected to begin in December 2021.
